Volunteering – Pacific Games Samoa 2019

It is a great privilege to be part of history!

This time, the story was the Pacific Games 2019. From 7 to 20 July 2019, crowds came to Samoa to take part in this event.

24 countries took part in sports competitions, and athletes competed in 26 disciplines.

Samoa had only 18 months to prepare after replacing Tonga as host. It was quite a challenge. It was even claimed that organizing such an event in such a short time was a miracle. Therefore, the Pacific Games were referred to as the Miracle Games.

There were many magical moments, great emotions, tears of sadness and joy. We had our share in this event, working as volunteers in the organization of this extraordinary celebration of sport. We spent time in Samoa from March to August.

We were responsible for the training and preparation of the Samoan team taking part in the sailing competition.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful experiences of our work, which will remain forever in our hearts.
