Solemn Session of the Wrocław City Council

As tradition dictates, the solemn session of the Wrocław City Council takes place on the same day each year. The solemn celebration of the Wrocław Day began with a march of city councillors from the church of St. Elizabeth to the Town Hall. Local government officials walked accompanied by city guards and a police orchestra. Later, the Fowler Brotherhood fired a salvo from cannons and the session began. The most important moment during the solemn session was the awarding of the title of Honorary Citizen of Wrocław. It was given to Fr. Stanislaw Orzechowski and the Dominican Father Ludwik. During the ceremony, the talented 10-year-old violinist Milena Pioruńska also performed. After her performance, a toast was raised. Everyone could help themselves to a cake with the coat of arms of Wrocław. In addition to the title, the awards of Wrocław and the Mayor of Wrocław were also awarded to the clergy.
