Solemn Session of the Wrocław City Council

On the day of St. John the Baptist – the patron saint of Wrocław – a Solemn Session of the City Council took place, as every year. In order to make up for the centuries-old tradition, a march of councillors through the Wrocław Market Square took place. There was also the assistance of a police band and a mounted unit of the Municipal Guard. Honorary salutes were also fired at the entrance to the Town Hall.

During the ceremony, the most distinguished citizens of the city were awarded. Honorary citizenship of Wrocław was granted, Awards of Wrocław and Awards of the Mayor of Wrocław as well as Badges of Honour of Wrocław.
