25th Anniversary of the Self-Government of Wrocław
25 years of the Wrocław local government is a very important anniversary. On this occasion, we had the pleasure to organize a 2-part event. On the first day, an open session of the Wrocław City Council was held. The first part took place on 27 May 2015. It began with a mass in the church of St. Elizabeth in the intention of the deceased councillors of the RMW and officials of the Town Hall. Then, in the vicinity of Fredro's monument, the opening of the photographic exhibition "Wrocław Metamorphoses" took place. This day was crowned with a solemn meeting of councillors of the Wrocław City Council of all terms in the Wrocław Town Hall. The Mayor of the City, Rafał Dutkiewicz, raised a toast and treated the gathered people to a cake prepared by confectionery masters from the Park Plaza Hotel. There was also a recital by the graduates of the Academy of Music. The second part of the celebrations is planned for 30 May 2015. Its main point was the open door of the Wrocław City Hall at 9 Sukiennice Street. The guests had the opportunity to visit the City Hall, the Mayor's office and the Session Hall of the City Council. They could also take part in meetings with the Mayor of Wrocław, the Chairman of the Wrocław City Council and councillors. It was also possible to take a guided tour of the town hall and the church of St. Elizabeth. The culmination of the celebrations were concerts and performances for the inhabitants of Wrocław.
